These Terms of Use (“Terms“) govern your use of southfacesolar.com (the “Site“) and any services purchased through it, provided by SouthFace Solar & Electric (“SouthFace,” “we,” “us,” or “our“).

By using the Site or purchasing any service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.


1. About SouthFace

SouthFace Solar & Electric is an Arizona-based solar installation, repair, and maintenance company.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase services or sign a service agreement with us.


3. Account registration

Some purchases on the Site require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information at registration and to keep your login credentials secure. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect your account has been used without your permission.


4. Service Plan subscriptions

Our SouthFace Solar Service Plan is a recurring monthly subscription preventative-maintenance program. The full terms of your Service Plan are set out in the SouthFace Solar Service Plan Agreement that you sign at enrollment. The summary below describes the most important commercial terms; where these Terms and the signed Service Plan Agreement differ, the signed agreement controls.

4.1 Initial term and auto-renewal

The Service Plan has a minimum initial term of twelve (12) months beginning at enrollment. After the initial term, the Service Plan automatically continues on a month-to-month basis until cancelled.

4.2 Enrollment fee

A one-time enrollment fee of $149.00 is charged at signup. The enrollment fee covers the day-one diagnostic visit and the first month’s subscription, and is non-refundable once processed.

4.3 Monthly pricing

Monthly pricing is set at enrollment based on system size:

  • $30 / month for systems up to 20 modules
  • $1 per module per month for systems with 21–30 modules
  • $0.50 per module per month for systems with 31–40 modules

Systems exceeding 40 modules, larger than approximately 12 kW, with multiple array locations, or with unusually complex installations may require custom pricing quoted before enrollment.

Your monthly fee is guaranteed for the first twelve (12) months of your Service Plan. After that, the monthly fee may be adjusted with notice provided to you before the next automatic renewal.

4.4 Cancellation

Cancellation requires thirty (30) days’ written notice to [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the next billing cycle that begins after we receive your notice. Payments are not prorated — you will not receive a refund for the unused portion of any billing month.

4.5 Refunds

  • The enrollment fee is non-refundable once processed.
  • Monthly subscription fees are not prorated and are not refundable after the billing date for that month.

4.6 Service area

Service Plans are available within our defined service area. A monthly travel adjustment applies based on your address:

  • Core service area — included, no adjustment
  • Greater Phoenix Metro — additional $5.30 / month
  • Extended Phoenix Metro — additional $7.00 / month

Properties outside these zones may require custom pricing or may not be eligible for service. If your address is outside our service area at enrollment, we will refund any payments made and notify you within five (5) business days.

4.7 Automatic billing and declined payments

By enrolling, you authorize SouthFace to charge your payment method on file for the enrollment fee and recurring monthly subscription fee. If a payment is declined, SouthFace may suspend service until the account is brought current and may charge a $25 administrative fee for the declined payment.

4.8 Disputes and chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, contact us first at [email protected] or (480) 393-0795 — we will work with you to resolve it. You agree to attempt resolution with us before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer or bank. If a chargeback is later determined to be improper, you are responsible for the costs we incur defending or reversing it.


5. One-time installation, repair, and maintenance services

5.1 Quotes and assessments

Quote estimates provided through the Site are non-binding and are based on the information you supply plus a remote assessment. Final pricing is set after an on-site evaluation.

5.2 Service agreements control

Specific scope, payment, refund, and warranty terms for installation, repair, or service work are documented in the service agreement you sign for that work (typically delivered through DocuSign). Where the signed service agreement says something different from these Terms, the signed agreement controls for that engagement.

5.3 Equipment warranties

Equipment warranties (panels, inverters, batteries, etc.) are provided by the equipment manufacturer, not by SouthFace. We may assist you with manufacturer warranty claims on systems we service.


6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site to break the law
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Interfere with the Site’s operation or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Reproduce or republish substantial portions of the Site without our written permission

7. Trademarks and content

“SouthFace Solar & Electric” and “SouthFace” are trademarks of SouthFace Solar & Electric. Site content (text, photos, graphics) is owned by SouthFace or our licensors. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use; any other use requires our written permission.


8. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share information about you.


9. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to third-party websites and uses third-party services (e.g., Google, DocuSign, manufacturer warranty portals). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties.


10. Disclaimers

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” SouthFace disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Solar production estimates, savings estimates, and similar projections shown on the Site or provided by us are estimates only and are not guaranteed. SouthFace makes no guarantee of system performance, production, or financial savings. Actual results depend on factors specific to your home, equipment, and location, including Arizona environmental conditions such as dust, pollen, vegetation growth, bird and pest activity, weather, third-party modifications, and changes to surrounding structures.

Cleaning services remove debris present at the time of service only. Due to Arizona desert conditions, panels may become dirty again shortly after cleaning; no guarantee is made regarding the duration of cleanliness.


11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, SouthFace will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or from our services, including loss of solar production, loss of savings, equipment failure, utility outages, or weather events.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site or services will not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law (for example, claims involving gross negligence or rights that cannot be waived under Arizona law). They also do not limit your remedies under any signed service agreement, manufacturer warranty, or applicable Arizona consumer-protection law.


12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or Service Plan if you violate these Terms or if your subscription payment fails after notice and an opportunity to cure. You may stop using the Site at any time. Cancellation of a Service Plan is governed by Section 4.4.


13. Governing law and venue

These Terms and any signed service agreement with SouthFace are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site or services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.


14. Electronic signatures

Electronic signatures on any service agreement with SouthFace (for example, those delivered through DocuSign) are legally binding.


15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For active Service Plan subscribers, we will notify you of material changes by email at least thirty (30) days before they take effect.
